The Duluth City Council has recently approved several significant infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the city’s public services and facilities.
Lead Service Line Replacement
One of the key initiatives is the lead service line replacement project in the Denfeld neighborhood. This $1 million project will replace nearly 80 lead water service lines, ensuring safer drinking water for residents.
Street Preservation Efforts
In addition, the council has greenlit the 2026 street preservation project, allocating over $2 million to maintain and improve the city’s roadways. This effort is part of a broader strategy to enhance transportation infrastructure and ensure safer travel for all residents.
Park and Facility Improvements
The council also approved contracts for improvements to the Hillside Sport Court Park and the Chester Bowl Chalet. These enhancements aim to provide better recreational facilities and community spaces for Duluth residents.
